"My husband & I own a marina. We have 100 seasonal customers here on Lower Buckhorn Lake. Last Thanksgiving weekend I had a chat with a customer that was arriving for the weekend, D is her name. 10 minutes later her husband came to my door and said "Come and see, D wants you to come". So, down the dock I went. D was clammy and her skin tone was grey (remember 10 minutes!) She said she had pressure on her chest and her breathing was labored. By now my husband had come down the dock. "Let's make the call and go get my aspirin" I said. My husband handed me a phone and took off to find my keys which is where I keep a fob. The 911 clerk gave instruction regarding dose and the pharmaceutics were VERY impressed we had provided aspirin prior to their arrival. D was already in surgery by the time her husband finished providing her information at the hospital!!!! When I saw D 2 weeks later, we had a BIG hug and she said she was very grateful that we knew what to do while she was in cardiac arrest."

"I used to be on an Emergency Response Team years ago and had purchased a key FOB holder for ASA just in case I ever needed to assist someone to take ASA experiencing a heart attack (HA). Little did I know it would save my own life. I had no existing health issues at all. "This actually happened : I witnessed a friend having a coronary last October and called 911. On Aug. 25 he showed signs of having a heart attack at home. I gave him 2 aspirin to chew from my key fob and called 911. The operator directed me to give him 2 more aspirin which came from his key fob. He was what the emt's called "stemmie" when they did their ekg in the ambulance and rushed him to hospital.
